Arlys Sobel has been a member of the Oconomowoc Community Choir for 15 years.  She has periodically directed the choir for special performances and rehearsals.  She has an effervescent style of directing very much enjoyed by her fellow choir members.
She has been the Music Director at Our Savior's Lutheran for more than twenty years.  She taught choral music at Oconomowoc High School, music classes at Oconomowoc Junior High School and has also taught at Lake Country Schools.  She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.  She was the Female lead in The Mikado in college and sang soprano in the highly competitive Concordia Concert Choir.  T hey sang in the major cities in the U. S. and when she was a Senior, enjoyed the opportunity of singing a solo for their concert at Carnigie Hall.  She continues to teach a few piano students because she "love(s) doing this."
