Scholarships

The Oconomowoc Community Choir Scholarship Fund began in 1996 with a grant from the Rahn family in memory of Rod Rahn, who was one of the music directors of the Choir. Since that time, the OCC has been raising additional funds to provide scholarships for the educational efforts of outstanding young people who are planning a career in music. To date, more than $20,000 has been awarded in 40 scholarships to very promising young people for their musical education.

Oconomowoc Community Choir Scholarships are awarded annually based on the funds the choir members raise through donations and summer concert ticket sales. The Rod Rahn Memorial Scholarship is presented annually through a generous donation. The Special scholarships are a lasting and living way to celebrate the love of music that spread its notes through a special life. The choir board is happy to accept donations and set up special scholarships that an individual may designate for a particular type of talent or memorial.

Scholarship recipients perform at the Oconomowoc Community Choir’s annual summer concert. We invite you to come see these young musicians and witness their level of talent and dedication. Just one concert will demonstrate to you the good this program is doing in the community thanks to the generous contributions of our sponsors and supporters.

If you are interested in donating to the scholarship fund as an individual or business, or would like to establish a memorial or special interest scholarship, please contact our Scholarship Donations Coordinator for more information:
